Magic…. a word that keeps us wishing for things and builds our hopes into dreams. As kids, we all dreamt of chocolate castles, unicorn rides, rainbow houses and talking animals. We all wished and hoped for magic, even if it’s a small bicycle or a trip to Disney world. Magic lived with us. We imagined everything around us as living beings, talked to plants, kissed our pets and even smiled at our enemies.
Where did this magic go? What happened to our innocent beliefs? Did we grow up to be miserable? Thinking about targets, weekends filled with thoughts about workplace and the worse is we expect our spouse to be a part of our misery too….
That little kid who only wished for happiness is still in you. All we have to do is set aside our temporary worries and give time for the kid inside us.
Do something which makes you happy, atleast for an hour or two in a week. Paint, play musical instrument or skip around, be a kid playing with your kid. Build Lego castle with your friends or bedazzled your plaything. Let’s not stop believing in magic. There are unicorns, wisps and lamps with spirits. Let’s not kill them by not believing.
If it makes you happy for a while, it’s not a mistake to think about unicorns or UFOs or alien attacks. After everything we all are put on this earth to be happy. Let’s be happy and wish others happiness. That kid inside you is longing for your attention. Bring out the kid in you and make yourself happy. Being miserable is a choice. Being happy is lifestyle. 😊
